LETZTER TEIL UNSERER REISE
Auch auf dem zweiten Flug, von Newark, New Jersey, nach San Antonio hat alles bestens geklappt mit der Benachrichtigung – grad als die Türen geschlossen wurden kam die Stewardess zu mir um mir mitzuteilen, der Pilot lasse ausrichten, dass meine zwei Katzen soeben verladen wurden.
Die warten wirklich bis zuletzt mit dem Verladen, um den Tieren möglichst die Geräusche und Vibration der Maschine zu ersparen. So sind wir alle gut angekommen und liebend in Empfang genommen worden.
Greg hatte ja extra einen Van gemietet um sicher uns alle plus meinen Koffer verladen zu können. Wahrscheinlich hätten die Käfige auch auf die Rückbank des BMW gepasst, aber sicher ist sicher.
Nach all der Fliegerei verlief die Autofahrt recht ruhig. War wohl ein “piece of cake” für die zwei nach all dem Krach und Geholper in den Flugis 😉
On the second flight from Newark, New Jersey, to San Antonio, the notification regarding the cats came promptly, too – right when the doors were closed a stewardess approached me to pass on the pilot’s update that my cats have been loaded.
The airline really waits until the last minute to load them to spare the cats the noise and vibration of the machine. Well, and thus we’ve all arrived well and been welcomed lovingly.
Greg rented a van for this occasion, being unsure as to whether the two kennels would fit onto the backseats of his BMW, though now we’re pretty sure we could have done it.
After all the flying, the car drive went comparatively quiet. I guess it seemed like a “piece of cake” for the two tigers after the noisy and bumpy flight 😉
