NOCH IMMER ERFOLGREICH UNTERWEGS

What a fantastic evening! Simply breathtaking! Candy for the ears. Full of energy, skillful play and voices that transport you into different spheres – the Gipsy Kings surely spiced up our weekend

Was für ein fantastischer Abend! Einfach atemberaubend! Guetzli für die Ohren. Voller Energie, mit spielerischem Können und Stimmen, die dich in eine andere Sphäre transportieren, versüssten die Gipsy Kings uns das Wochenende.

Last night we were able to attend a highly anticipated concert of the talented guitarists, kindly sponsored by our boss – thank you boss. I was drawn to the concert because – thanks to my brother – I grew up with the Mexican sounds of the Gipsy Kings. Back then my brother was especially intrigued with the fact that three members of the band played the guitar right-handed and three left-handed. Today it seems the lead singer is the only left-handed player remaining in the band. But that does not derogate from the whole experience. We enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere in the Moody Theatre and clapped our hands sore. The standing ovation at the end of the concert was more than deserved by the talented gentlemen!

Gestern Abend durften wir einem mit Spannung erwarteten Konzert der talentierten Gitarristen beiwohnen, freundlichst gesponsert durch unseren Chef – danke Chef. Mich zog es zum Konzert weil ich dank meines Bruders mit den mexikanischen Klängen der Kings aufgewachsen bin. Mein Bruder war damals besonders fasziniert davon, dass je drei Mitglieder der Band rechts- und drei linkshändig die Gitarre spielten. Heute gehört lediglich der Leadsinger der Linkshändertruppe an. Doch das tut der ganzen Sache keinen Abbruch. Wir genossen die wundervolle Stimmung im Moody Theatre und klatschten uns die Hände wund. Die Standing Ovation zum Schluss des Konzert haben sich die Herren mehr als verdient!

P.S. Maybe I should give the gentlemen a tip about my brother – after all he’s been playing the guitar ever since he walked into a music shop and bought one and taught himself how to play it. Plus – he’s a lefty.

P.S. Vielleicht sollte ich die Herren mal auf meinen Bruder hinweisen – schliesslich spielt er Gitarre seit er dereinst in ein Musikgeschäft spazierte und sich eine kaufte, um sich daraufhin das Gitarrespielen selbst beizubringen. Plus – er ist Linkshänder.
