I dream myself somewhere away
This is the true face of November
Just as I do remember
It from Switzerland, the average day
Had over it a mist that lay
Damp and oh so chilly
Rather grizzly, really
Dark and clammy, all cats inside
Lo and behold! We’re in fall’s tide
But let’s not complain
About all this rain
Nature’s been thirsting long enough
The last two years have been quite rough
From what I hear all around
Water’s not been here abound
So let’s bundle up, put our feet into boots
Get out of the house until no one disputes
That we earned that nap there on the couch
Where for the rest of the day we will slouch

Kühl und grau ist heut‘ das Himmelszelt
Ich träume ich wär woanders auf der Welt
So zeigt der November sein wahres Gesicht
Genau so erinnere ich mich
Wie über einem Schweizer Novembertag
Ein Nebel wie eine Decke lag
Frostig und feucht, ziemlich grausig
Schien mir das Wetter oftmals recht lausig
Alle Katzen im Haus, nicht draussen im Schiff
Siehe da! Der Herbst hat uns im Griff
Doch lasst uns nicht beklagen über den Regen
Die Natur hat schon lang im Trockenen gelegen
So erfahre ich von allen Seiten
Die letzten zwei Jahre herrschten hier dürre Zeiten
Warm eingepackt, Stiefel an die Füsse ran
So verlassen wir das Haus, bis keiner mehr bezweifeln kann
Dass wir es verdienen, auf dem Sofa rumzulümmeln
Und wir uns deshalb dort zum Nickerchen tümmeln.

The kitties look very warm and cozy where they are, and I am sure they make a warm blanket… Just pray you don’t have to go potty in a hurry;). I love cats!!!:)

Hehe, can you tell – I love cats too!! Which makes your dear brother roll his eyes for he not only has to live with them but also hear and read all about them 😀
And yes, I’m glad we’re not somewhere up in the panhandle where hurricanes are more frequent from what I understand. That would be scary!!
